Summary of the POA's statute.
The Polish Origami Association acts in order to popularize
the art of Origami. The main aims of the Association are:
organizing workshops and conferences that will help to develop
and integrate Origami society, publishing bulletins and other
educational materials facing needs of the Association's members,
developing cooperation with polish and foreign creators, helping
beginners and supporting initiatives popularizing the art
of Origami.
The membership in our Association is available for adult
citizens of Poland and foreigners. Members are entitled to
participate in events organized by the Association, to receive
a printed bulletin (except for those who signed up for a membership
without a right to receive the bulletin) and to have access
to materials available only for the members that are published
on the Association website.
There is a possibility to publish articles, photos, diagrams
and crease patterns of own designed works on the Association
website. If the submitted materials are of a highest level,
they are to be published in the original (English version
required) and translated to Polish. We reserve the right to
correct and short submitted texts and diagrams if necessary.
Members are obliged to pay regularly the membership fee.
The fee is paid once annually. After a yearlong membership,
a member gains voting rights. After two years of being a member
and gaining an instructor degree, one may candidate to the
management frame of the Association.
Branches and circles of the Association are established when
a justified motion is submitted by a group of members. Tenure
of the management lasts 4 years. Work of the Association is
coordinated by the 5 person management frame: Chairman, two
Vicechairmans, Secretary and Treasurer.
The membership is available also for persons under 18 with
a parental permission. Members under 18 have the same rights
as adults except from the voting right.
