The POA bulletin                                                                                             ISSN 1896-1665

The bulletin by the Polish Origami Association is a wide publication issued once annually to the members of the Association. Great creators from Poland and worldwide were invited to work on the bulletin.

All the members receive free bulletin once annually, in which they will find:

  • unpublished previously, first night diagrams by polish and foreign creators (at least 10)
  • articles and essays by well known describers of Origami translated to Polish
  • tips convenient for everyone who is folding paper
  • suggestions for conducting classes with children and youths using Origami - ready-made plans for lessons
  • tessellations set from circles and squares (know as the "flat origami") with a suggestion of how to use them in working with children
  • reports from the most important Origami events from Poland and the world
  • information on what, where and when will happen
  • reviews of Origami publications
  • Origami in use as a base for any other artistic activity

All of this published in a very high quality. Over 100 pages of materials, a lot of pictures - also in color; professionally drawn diagrams with standardized folding instructions...

    The POA bulletin #1

    part 1

We have the pleasure to present you first part of the bulletin. We tried to choose various models so that everyone could find something suitable, not only the most experienced folders. First of the presented models is very simple and beautiful in its shapes Duck by Tomasz Siwak. Another model is very impressive Cormorant by Adam Szewczyk. Hopefully Adam will continue astounding us with his new origami designs. The last model presented today is Pelican by well-known origami creator - Jason Ku...

    part 2

In today's announcement we would like to present another 3 models, which will be diagrammed in the Bulletin: Rombicubeoctahedron (Boaz Shuval), Shirt with tie (Artur Biernacki) and Trousers (Piotr Pluta). Enthusiasts of origami theory will have the pleasure to read the analysis of one-crease origami in Paul Jackson's article. School teachers will find a wide article (first part of the series "Origami in shool practice") about making compositions from circles, squares and triangles. The article has been worked out by the specialist in this discipline, Joanna Sowa. The articles are in Polish.

    part 3
Another portion of models which will be diagrammed in the first PTO Bulletin contains: helicopter (Rafał Sabat), beetle (Grzegorz Bubniak) and heart with base (Bolesław Gargol).

    part 4

This is the last preview of the Bulletin contents. Apart from three diagrams (Pacman monster - Nicolas Terry, Butterfly Bookmark - Grzegorz Bubniak, Modular Model TSI - Tomasz Siwak) you will find in it an article about making a composition depicting a bear from paper circles (by Justyna Sowa). Many other surprises are waiting for you too. There will be a brochure with origami symbols supplemented to the first issue of the Bulletin.
